Program Overview
In an era marked by accelerating technological change, geopolitical realignment, and economic turbulence, modern managers are required to navigate unprecedented levels of complexity and uncertainty. From the historical evolution of management thought to contemporary strategic challenges such as managing talent, effective leadership today demands both strong theoretical grounding and adaptive strategic capabilities.
The Modern Management for Global Competency Program is an international training program, specially designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of modern management principles while equipping them with advanced strategic frameworks to lead organizational change in volatile global environments. Through an integrated approach combining academic insights, real-world cases, and interactive discussions, the program enhances managerial agility, strategic foresight, and decision-making excellence for sustainable organizational success.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the Modern Management for Global Competency international training program, participants will be able to:

Training Topics (conducted entirely in English)
Module 1: Understanding Business Turbulence and Global Uncertainty (1.5 hrs.)
● Managing in Turbulent Times
● Understand the pillars of Modern Management
● Geopolitical and economic disruptions (e.g., US–China decoupling, supply chain shifts)
Module 2: Evolution of Management Thoughts in the Modern Era (1.5 hrs.)
● Classical to contemporary management theories
● From efficiency-driven models to strategic and adaptive management
● Relevance of historical perspectives in today’s turbulent environment
Module 3: Strategic Management in Complex Global Landscapes (1.5 hrs.)
● Core strategic frameworks for dynamic environments
● Strategic positioning, resilience, and competitive advantage
● Case discussions on firms navigating global uncertainty
Module 4: Leading and Managing Organizational Changes (1.5 hrs.)
● Change management models and leadership roles
● Overcoming resistance and building adaptive cultures

Instructor Background
Instructor(s): Asst.Prof. Dr. Tareq Hossain and Assistant Instructors
Dr. Tareq Hossain is an international management scholar and strategic advisor with over a decade of academic and industry experience across ASEAN. He currently serves as Assistant Professor at Thammasat Business School and Deputy Director of CONC, where his responsibility is to work closely with executives on strategic transformation, competitiveness, and organizational development.
Prior to academia, he held a Business Development Manager role in a high-growth enterprise, giving him strong practical insight into strategy execution and business expansion.
He also serves as a Visiting Professor at EDC Paris Business School, France. His expertise spans modern management, strategy, sustainability, and international business. Dr. Hossain has chaired sessions at the Academy of International Business (USA – Southeast Chapter), conducted webinars with Georgia State University, and delivered keynote presentations at major international forums, including the 64th AGM of IISRP and APEC conferences.
Participation Certificate
The trainee attending the program at least 80% of total training hours will be eligible for a participation certificate.
